I wonder when I'm going to get to sleep tonight...

I keep falling asleep later and later, and as a result I'm waking up later too.  I should break that cycle before Tuesday... perhaps I'll do that tonight, if I'm not engaged in some exceptionally interesting conversation or something.  Not much happened today, with one large exception.  Poor Shanny got harassed by this loser she knows from her martial arts class.  The guy thinks she's totally interested in him, but the closest they've even been to a date was having dinner alone once in many, many months.  I mean, hell... she ignores the guy as often as she can!  She's just too nice to kick the guy's ass and tell him off, but hey... that's also the reason people like her so much.  I'd take care of this myself, but unfortunately I don't have the money to spend on a plane ticket for the same day.  ;)  Ah well, she's a good martial artist too... she can take care of herself.  Her friend Sarah was also there, so I'm not as worried about her.

I often wonder what I'd do if I had the money and time to visit everyone I've ever met online.  Would I discover a place so nice I'd want to move there?  It's so beautiful in northern California where I live... not too hot and not too cold, not too much rain, not much humidity.  Even the crime is low here... in fact, it's practically nonexistent.  As a result, it's pretty boring here... but that doesn't make me feel any less fortunate that I was born and raised here.  Unless I move to Japan or something, I'll probably live my entire life here... though I may move back down to San Diego.  Oh how I love it there... I miss that extreme heat, it resulted in some awesome tans.  :)

I've been meeting some very cool and interesting people lately.  Today, I had the pleasure of being in contact with Juri's ProfileJuri for the first time.  She has gorgeous hair... all of you should go look.  *wink*  I'm really glad I'm sticking with LiveJournal... I've seriously considered just giving it a rest many times.  I post less than most everyone I know, and there are times I'm simply not even near an Internet connection for days... but every time I come back, I'm reminded of the friends I've made and the interesting exchanges I've had with people that I may never even meet in person.

People might say that making online friends is a waste of time... but when I consider a number of nights I've spent out in bars or at restaurants meeting and dancing with people I have almost nothing in common with, I know that this is a healthy thing.  I'm not saying being online should take the place of anything else, but I definitely think it's both productive and rewarding.  Plus... thanks to my cell phone's plan giving me free domestic long distance calling, it's easy to talk to people I meet at just about any time of the day or night, as long as they live in the US.

I just wish I could meet them all.
